Serving the Cayce and West Columbia Communities, Lexington Two is proud of our 17 neighborhood schools and all they have to offer. Providing quality education and support to our 8,800 students is the primary goal of our teachers, administrators and staff.
We are proud to live in the kind of community where our students live only a short walk to their schools and where generations of families have come to call home. Situated along the Congaree River, our unique location combines the ease of small town living with close proximity to big city amenities. Updated: 06/08/2010

Student Dress Code High School Student Discipline Elementary & Middle School Student Discipline High School Summer School and HSAP Testing Documentation Summer Feeding Program (To access the entire Board Policy Manual, click on the heading "Board of Trustees/Board Policy Manual" in the left hand column listed above.) The South Carolina Department of Education is working closely with the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) to help keep our schools a healthy place to learn and to work. Over the next few days we will be sending guidance to assist with controlling the spread of flu (including H1N1 swine flu) with the goal of minimizing the impact on education. All of us want to keep staff and students well and our schools open. Please click the link below for more information from the Department of Health and Environmental Control.
The Lexington School District Two Board of Trustees approved six early release days for the 2010/2011 school year to allow for teachers and administrators to continue to work together across the district in Professional Development Cohort Groups. Early release will allow time to conduct action research and study best practices for teaching and learning to enhance our teachers and administrators as professionals. The elementary schools will be released at 11:30 a.m. and middle and high schools will be released at 12:30 p.m. The following Wednesdays will be early release days: September 29, 2010 October 27, 2010 December 1, 2010 February 23, 2011 March 30, 2011 April 27, 2011 High schools will not observe a late start on the Wednesdays that are designated for early release. Additionally, CD 4 and PCD classes will not meet on the early release days. The elementary and middle schools will offer child care services for free until the regular school dismissal time. If students need to remain past that time the charge will be $8.50 per day, which is our current drop-in fee for after school day care. Buses will only run on the early dismissal schedule. The local day care providers will be contacted in an effort to communicate the dates and times so that they may make arrangements to pick up their regular clients earlier. Special thanks to the Lexington Two community for its continued support in this endeavor. Lexington School District Two |
